Proclaiming the Biblical standard for faith, family, and society.
One of the main features of our worship is that it is "family-integrated." That is to say, we believe that children ought to join their parents in the worship of God and make every attempt to sit under the ministry of the word. We find joy in hearing the sound of little voices joining in song and even when the occasional fit is thrown or when a child talks a little too loud.
However, we do understand that "Life happens" and there may be times when a child needs to be taken out to calm down.
You may feel free to sit or stand in the lobby with your children as needed, but we also have a cry room off of the lobby if you need privacy for nursing, changing, or for an exceptionally upset child.
...In Spirit and truth
"Read the Bible, sing the Bible, pray the Bible, preach the Bible." That, in a nut shell, sums up the entirety of our worship service. We believe that the best way to honor the Lord is to give heed to the sacred text of Scripture. So you can expect to find our services saturated with it. Our worship style may be considered "blended" as we sing a mixture of hymns, psalms, and Scripture based choruses. Others may consider it more traditional since it includes various prayers, a confession of faith, and benediction.
However you may characterize it, our services provide abundant doses of spiritual food for nourishing the faith of those who attend.
...at the Communion table
Since Christ instituted the Lord's Supper as a means of strengthening our faith, Providence church celebrates the Lord's Supper on a weekly basis. We invite anyone who has professed faith in Christ as the sole Savior of men and has been baptized to join us in this time of communion. We provide wheat bread and gluten-free bread for allergen needs and wine and grape juice based on your conscious.
It is our custom to have the head of household (or representative thereof) to come forward and receive the elements and take them back to serve the rest of his (or her) family.
...through giving
If you would like to give unto the Lord and support the church's worship and work, you may deposit your offering in the box provided on the Communion table at the front of the church.
